Upon the completion of my bachelor degree at University of South Australia in 2004 I decided that in order for me to grow, both as a person and as a designer I needed to leave Adelaide and experience another part of the world, to see new cultures and meet new people.
By late 2006 I had settled in London and gained employment as a graphic designer working on varied projects for a wide range of clients.
Whilst away I learned a lot about myself, my place in the world and the role that design plays in different cultures, as well as gaining a greater appreciation for the world around me.
Feeling the time was right for me to move on once more and pursue other challenges I left London in September 2009 to return to Adelaide – forever changed.
From November 2009 until September 2011 I worked full-time at the Printing Hub as a Graphic Designer in a role that saw me working with both large and small clients on a wide variety of print design.
In September 2011 I commenced a new job to further my career working with Zynke Design as a full time Graphic Designer. This is a very exciting and fun job for me as I get to work on so many different kinds of work from food packaging for large national and international companies to identity work and everything in-between. Working with Zynke also offers me the opportunity to work on a wide variety of website design roles as well working with an in-house and outsourced web developers giving me the opportunity to create innovative and fun internet solutions for clients as well as print work.
In my spare time I try to take on a few small freelance projects to keep me busy and creatively challenged – doing work that is quite varied and different to what I do as part of my full-time employment. This work varies from experemental personal projects to event and personal photography.
I am hard working and dedicated, striving to learn as much as possible from every experience I go through, be it good or bad. I aim to enjoy everything that I do in life and to always look at any situation with a positive attitude.
